Dinner and a Movie

I finally decided to try another recipe from a blogger that I have had in my file for a couple months and I’m glad I did as it was a hit with Mr L. It’s called “Baked Spaghetti”..

Doesn’t that look simply delicious? Because of my illness I couldn’t have any but I was glad to make it for the hubby and I served it with Garlic Texas Toast

Needless to say, Mr L’s tummy was very happy.. I have included the recipe at the end of this post if you’d also like to try it..

Afterwards we finally got to see For Greater Glory. A movie I have been waiting to see since it came out..Why did I wait you ask when I could have gone to the movies?.. A few reasons… First, I can’t stand how loud the movie theaters are even though Mr L has a surround sound that went turned up shakes the windows in the house, he is respectful of my wishes and doesn’t do that. Also, the movies these days are so expensive I would rather just save the money or use it on something we need.. Sure it’s nice to go to the movies once in a while but in these lean financial times we live in, things like this come last.. Anyhow, I must say I absolutely loved loved this movie and it is certainly a must see for all Catholics and anyone who believes in religious freedom. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed..

The recipe for the Baked Spaghetti can be found here at Renee’s blog called Living Loving Laughing….

Thanks Renee for a delicious recipe!

  1. Hi Robyn! I wondered how you were doing so I'm glad you left a comment. I believe I have scheduled to make a baked spaghetti tonight too but mine goes in the crockpot so the house doesn't get all warmed up. I sure hope you can find some relief, even if just for a day. Wishing you much love and comfort! XOXO

  2. Hi Robyn! I wanted to come see if I could answer your question regarding your hens. I do know that many people keep chickens in a coop and never let them roam. And they do just fine. But if you do let them free range, then they will want that every day! And being “cooped” up will no longer be okay with them. Sometimes I keep mine in the run, which is triple the size of the coop, until they have all laid. Then I let them roam the entire property. They don't often come up onto the patios as there is enough areas of interest to keep them busy and away from these places. Mine have not yet molted, but I know that when they do, their egg laying will most likely stop for a while, and at the very least, slow way down. I dread that, since we are love the fresh eggs so much!!!
    I hope this helps!!!!
    Hugs,
    Kris

  3. Hi Robyn, Your baked spaghetti looked so good but I would have to tweek it with gluten free noodles so I could eat it. The bread looks great too but once again I would substitute. I can't remember what your limitations are with food-let me know and I'll keep my eyes out for good recipes. Oh South Carolina, what a beautiful state! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.Blessings, Noreen
