This Heart Healthy Pan Seared Tuna Steak is a creation of my own. I don’t really have any measurements to give you. The only advice I offer is use your judgement and enjoy!
Spices of choice
Fresh Zucchini sliced into 1 inch slices
Fresh Summer Squash sliced into 1 inch slices
Directions: For the Tuna
Let your Tuna come to room temperature but no more than 20 minutes
Rinse Tuna and pat dry
Baste Olive Oil on all sides
Sprinkles spices of choice on all sides and pat into the Tuna steak
Heat a non-stick pan over medium high heat adding a small amount of olive oil for cooking.
When pan is hot, place Tuna in pan and sear on both sides.
Cook 4 to 6 minutes on each side depending on thickness (mine cooked for a while because it was quite a thick cut of Tuna
Let sit 3 minutes before serving
Directions: For Squash and Zucchini
Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees
On a baking sheet lined with foil
sprinkle olive on the sheet and distribute evenly
Place Squash and Zucchini slices on baking sheet.
Sprinkle slices with Olive Oil and seasonings of choice
Place in oven cook until soft
