Anxiety & Worry

Some days I think it will never stop. Actually, it hasn’t my whole life. Between loss of loved ones, illness, poverty etc.. It has never stopped and probably never will.. I guess this is just my lot in life and one at my age I should have already accepted. For the most part I have but some days it’s rough and to say it’s not would be a lie…

Our newest worry is Toby.  Toby is now nine months old. He was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia last week. He has it in both hips so both hips have to be repaired. The procedure he will be having is called TPO. It’s not a total hip replacement as the costs on that are almost prohibitive so veterinarians came up with a work around that according to statistics have an excellent success rate. Especially in young pups like Toby. Here are two photos of Toby. One taken at approximately 4 months of age and one taken today at nine months of age..

This is Toby as of today.

As you can see in the above photo, Tobys hips are completely disjointed. In the past week he’s been in pain despite medication to control it and he has a hard time walking. The right hip is worse than the left so we will be repairing the right hip this Thursday. Then it’s a six to eight week recovery and we will then go in and repair the left hip. As you can imagine this is expensive.

I have set up a GoFundMe page in the hopes we could get some help in defraying the cost which is $1000.00 US for each side making it a grand total of $2000.00 US. We have a puppy insurance plan for him but unfortunately it does no cover this and sadly, we are not rich people which is why I am hoping others will help. We would so greatly appreciate any help and also if you would please share Tobys GoFundMe Page with others.

Please keep Toby and us in your prayers..

  1. I am so sorry, Robyn. I think of you, Lou and your fur babies in my prayers. I will say an extra prayer and think of Toby today. I know how hard Anxiety and Worry is. I deal with it on a constant basis and even as a young child at the age of 5 was told I worry to much by my baby sister. She was a wonderful Japanese lady who would give me worry stones to hold. Unfortunately it didn’t stop me from worrying an ulcer in my stomach, and deal with anxiety on a daily basis. When Rigby had to go in a month or so for his neuter surgery, I worried for days and lost sleep. Afterwards, he could care less except for the scary drugs he was on. I pray for Toby’s healing, the answers to your financial situation…, and I hope your worries are lifted. Just for a bit. You deserve a break. ❤️ Hugs.
